July 25, 2008 - RAGBRAI

This year Solon will be a pass through community for the "Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa", or RAGBRAI.  Solon will be the first stop of the day for riders on Friday, July 25th.  The theme for Solon's RAGBRAI event will be "Shipwrecked in Solon - A Three Hour Tour". 

Currently the Solon RAGBRAI planning committee is working hard to put together great plans for visitors to the Solon community.  We encourage all local individuals, businesses, and community organizations who wish to participate in hosting the event to contact Susie at the City Office (624-3755).  If you are interested in being a Vendor you MUST register.  Many volunteers will be needed to make this event a success so please consider volunteering some time.
